Administration

Mr. Scott Winslow, Principal

winslos@gcsnc.comI’ve dedicated 33 years to education in Guilford County Schools, including 21 years as an administrator. Each step of my career has shaped the educator and leader I am today.

I earned National Board Certification in 1999 and was honored as GCS Elementary Principal of the Year in 2010.

I hold a B.S. in Elementary Education, a Master’s in School Administration, and a Specialist in Education degree—all from UNC Greensboro.

Outside of work, I enjoy traveling and spending time with my dog, Auggie.

I’ve been a devoted educator with Guilford County Schools for 21 years, including 15 years as a special education teacher and the last 4 years as a school administrator. I’m passionate about supporting all learners and creating a positive, inclusive school environment.

I was honored to be named Alamance Teacher of the Year in 2010 and a North Carolina Teacher of Excellence in 2011. I hold a B.S. in Child Psychology from Liberty University and a Master’s in Education from UNC Greensboro.

Outside of school, I enjoy coffee, naps, and spending time with my husband of 24 years—who’s also a school administrator—and our 20-year-old twin boys.
