I am honored, excited and proud to serve as the principal of a school that has been such an important part of my life and career.

I began my journey at Alamance as a classroom teacher, where I spent eight years, followed by five years as an assistant principal. After 13 years as part of the Alamance family, becoming principal feels incredibly special. I know the heart of this school, the people who make it special, and the community we are so fortunate to serve.

As a first-year principal, my goal is to build on the strengths of Alamance while continuing to move our school forward. I believe strongly in the power of relationships, high expectations, strong instruction, family partnerships, and creating a school where every child feels known, valued, and capable of success.

I was honored to be named Alamance Teacher of the Year in 2010 and a North Carolina Teacher of Excellence in 2011. I hold a B.S. in Child Psychology from Liberty University and a master’s in education from UNC Greensboro.

Education is truly a family affair for me! My husband of 25 years is also a school principal, so our dinner conversations often include a little “school talk.” We are also the proud parents of 21-year-old twin young men who have taught us more about patience, perseverance, and unconditional love than any leadership book ever could!

I am excited for this next chapter at Alamance and grateful for the opportunity to lead alongside our amazing students, staff, families, and community.
